The fascinating temples in Jammu and Kashmir showcase the heritage of India. The Pandrethan temple is also one the beautiful temples that is located at a distance of about 4 miles from Srinagar. The geometrical and structural symmetry of the temple is really admiring. The roof of this temple is intact.
The Pandrethan temple is very near to the road which stands in the middle of low spring. Only one stone was used to make the roof of the temple. This temple was constructed during the rule of Parth who ruled Kashmir from 921 to 931 AD. His minister named Meru erected the temple. The Pandrethan temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The beautiful architecture in this temple is the cause of attraction of the tourists. Now the temple has ruined with time. It was believed that this place was the old capital of Kashmir. |
